exactly, if there was a gts automatic,non sportshift it would basically be the samething as a auto gt but an auto gts would be a bit peppier, because it wouldnt be able to hit lift

I got an auto too... theres probably more out there but they are embarrassed to post..

to me, die hard celica fan's would go for the GT b/c more of a challenge to gain the 40HP difference between the GT and GTS. i dunno if that made sense or not, whatever!

its a nice looking car..who cares? Some people prefer autos because maybe they have a lot of stop and go traffic to deal with everyday...I honestly cant stand this crap where people bash autos!

same here, but i used to have a gts manual and tha damn dealership sold it to my ass knowin that it had a crack in tha gas tank and it blew up

! i was soo pissed, on top of that i didn't get my choice of manual or automatic

Actually before i got the celi I wasn't really into modding and racing so I got auto because it's easier. It was a few months after I got the celi that I got into it and I am kicking myself in the ass now wishing I knew more about it then and got stick... though reading about these misshifts and syncro problems and stuff sure makes me glad I have an auto sometimes!

werd to that. GTS Automatic here. wasn't my choice =\ but my dad did pay 15 gs cash for it. so i'm not complaining.

Why in the world do mothers think that having a auto will make you a better driver? IMO it makes you a worse driver because you have to play little attention to what your doing, and what the car is doing.

if you drive that miles that many people do, you'd not pay attention to work it takes to drive there, and would rather just get to the desination...

ie; you'd rather dig with a big hole with a big shovel - while I'd rather just not dig a whole in the first place

some people enjoy driving... and for those who do not enjoy it, there are automatics

^^yea, i love driving manual...idk what i would do without it..

like my quad had clutch adn 5 gears...but since i don't have it, i just drive around our Sportsman 500 which is fully automatic...and that's boring.

GTS manual. Can't stand to drive an automatic I get bored. And I feel like I can't control the car but it is controling me

My first big drive in my celica was from Washington State to the heart of texas, in three days, 2200 miles. I put 300 miles on a week, on average. I drive a lot IMO.
