CAI is a little better for gains, but Short Ram is good if you're afraid of hydrolocking...I don't think AEM even makes short rams, and if so, I've never seen one grin

No. It is uncommon for a CAI to lock up. The only way for it to happen is if it is submerged fully under water.

Just whenever it gets dirty. There is no real set amount of time but it is commonly done every oil change or every 6 months depending on how much you drive your car.

the k&n filter cleaning kit says to clean the filter every 50K mi in "normal" conditions. probably a little more often with a CAI though just cause its in a place where it can get dirtier faster.

a kid told me that celicas handle like crap... i laughed

I dont think there is anyway. The only way is if it is completly submerged and for ur ram to get submerged you would have to be in 2 feet of water. Could be wrong.
