you shouldnt get either because our ECU's will overwrite what the S-AFC says over a matter of time... resulting in stock air/fuel maps.

all you'll end up with is a cool looking blue light on your cabin.

the ECU that we have will override anything the AFC tells the it. our ECU's are too smart for their own good. you will burn enough fuel, the ucu will compensate for the extra air its getting from the CAI.

K, I, personally, am willing to admit I am not the most knowledgeable person about engines but...I was reading an old copy of Import Tuner where they were testing gains on a MR2 Spyder (engine is basically the same as Celica GT) and they installed a TRD Exhaust and the A'PEXi S-AFC. They only had time to tune it minimally due to time constraints but they realized a few horsepower and torque from it. Just my two cents. I'd still say you're better off spending the $400 on headers or something like that but if you've got a few mods under the hood, I'd look into getting one and then telling US what, if any, difference it has made. Good luck! thumbsup

Hmmm if the S-AFC doesn't work is there a piggy back that doesn't, say greddy e-manager or another one as oppose to the power fc or another full stand alone?

the S-AFC II is the same as the original, but it allows you to do a few extra things like store several settings. Thats about all I know that is different.

yeah I have an S-AFC and it always resets after a little while. my suggestion is to get it dyno tuned, and record(like on a sheet of paper) the settings for each rpm at both the hi and low throttle positions. this way you can reset it each time and only have it dyno-ed once. thumbsup

It just does, the ecu doesnt like change. The Apexi PFC works though for our cars. Its a replacement ECU, as ANY piggybacks do not work.

http://www.monkeywrenchracing.com sells it.

it resets it because it see's the maps as bugs in the system... it thinks that something is fucked up so it carries on to fix what it sees as a problem.

Lucky has the PFC, and you can find more information on it here: https://celicahobby.com/ubbthreads/thread.f_1869910307_0_collapsed_5__1.html#1869910307
