the 35 profile is closer to stock ...however i went with 40 because there are so many potholes where i live, i wanted something ot protect my rims alittle bit more ...

With the 225's, your profile will be approximately 3.54 inches tall, while with the 215's, your profile will be 2.96 inches.
Just depends on what you are looking for. Wider tires launch better, but in my opinion, tires with lower profiles look better, and since you have 18's, then you might wanna go with the slimmest profile you can get. Just my opinion though.

225/40/18 i think they look better and less likely to bend a rim!
