why is it that we don't need to recalibrate air/fuel ratio if we install like I/E. let's say we go and add headers, do we still need to recalibrate air/fuel ratio?

well in theroy we should to utlize the max potential like havin a power afc Monkeywrenchracing.com did dyno's with just injen intake and it was like 165 or something to the wheels and once the power afc was tuned it ran a 177 or something like that and added lot more tq @2500 rpm!

damn, that's awesome! but if we leave it like that without tuning with the AFC bc AFC is a lot of money, would it be bad for the engine? Like would it reduce engine life because there is not an equal mixture of A/F ratio, so that could demage the engine, right?
