I have those same tails also, they look good with a carbon fiber Hood, and gunmetal wheels flows really nicely

If it's already there and working fine, then why spend money on something you already have.

Buy a turbo or some NA parts. Some parts have a purpose to serve. And you have a point about everything stock sucks. Just if your serious about your car, don't waste money on parts that don't help you get there.

Not everyone shares your goal of going faster. Some people prefer appearance mods. That does not make them any less valuable or useless, as you suggest.

For example, I tinted the windows on my car. It keeps out sun, but it also makes the car look better. Neither of these things makes the car go faster - yet, I am completely satisfied. smile

Tinted windows serve a FUNCTIONAL purpose. Most parts serve a purpose like this. It's the parts that don't that bother me. I'm just trying to save everyone some money and protect the world from bling.

Condense the nonsense.

That's your opinion and you're welcome to it. I happen to disagree.

I paid money for aftermarket tail lights, even though my stock ones worked just fine. I paid money for a bodykit, even though the stock body components worked just fine.

And I like them. wave I get compliments all the time. If you don't, then you shouldn't buy them. happywink

It's not "nonsense" just because you don't like it. A lot of other people do. Look how many people recently bought carbon fiber hoods. I have a sneaking suspicion that it was much more for form than function.

seriously i think that site is having a chatroom discussion on how newbies should Linked Image haha, not trying to be harsh but if you're really so intent on stopping people from modding their cars with "nonsense" parts why do you own a Celica and not a horse and carriage? just chill bro, i love this site because of the people and the different things they are willing to try, whether people unanimously like their mods or not, it doesn't matter.

Good point. If he's so worried about speed, there are certainly faster cars than the celica in the same price range. It's not ALL about speed.

Technically you can't save somebody money if they've already purchased the item - in saspence22's case, the tailights and in mine the tachometer. What? We're going to have a change of heart and return this shit? wtf I apologize for the harsh comment but maybe once you've established yourself on this site it would be easier to make comments like you have and have people take them into consideration.

You're getting flamed because you are giving opinions that weren't asked for. Not everybody shares your "just make it faster" outlook.

Everybody has differnt tastes, some want appearance mods, some want engine mods, some want both, some want nothing. But everybody is entitled to their opinion. You're too new to try to force your opinion onto others.

Relax, enjoy EC, make some friends, then you can try to tell them how to mod their car. grin

i prefer speed over looks but i still wants some looks too, im saving up for the stafford turbo kit, but i also have some other appearmance mod plans like a carbon fiber Hood and wheels, im planning on getting the full kaminari body kit in the near future after the turbo, but im going to have a sharp looking car with about 250whp so it'll be fast and look good! y not have both speed and looks
