Sparco...

Hi to all. Just got today new shift knob Sparco Globe-X $70 shipped.
It's looks very nice with my blue center concole.
But i do not like the way it's connected to the shifter.
You can not just skrew it on.You have to screw the metal ring to the shifter and then screw the actual shift knob on it...(SO FUCKING CHEAP) I espected more from $70 shiftknob... Oh well at list i like the way it's looks.
P.S.I have a 3-4mm gap beetween a shifht boot and a shift knob. It's not gonna be hard to fix but it's just sucks.
P.P.S.I'll post some pictures in couple of days.

Same knob on its way... I had ordered that and the TSRM but I cancelled it because I was gonna wait for the Greddy SP2. Well I'm gonna re-order it soon. How do you plan on fixing the gap?

I will take the shift boot off and try to pull the plastic ring on the shifter litle bit up. If it's not going to work.
I will put electrical tape (5-mm wide)around the shifter, right above the white plastic ring. And then i will put the shift boot back on the shifter and skrew the shift knob right on.
P.S.I'll try to make some pictures for you guys.

OK i got it.I do not really know any good painting shops in the area.I got my body kit painted for $850 (Toatal rip off )but quality of the paintig job is not that grate.
Averge price on painting around $200 a piece. And quality of the body kit is importent too.
There is the performance store in Weaton right across the stret from the mall.So this guys have some one who can paint the whole body kit for $400...But it's not going to be a show quality.
P.S.And installation not that hard but takes time...Spetially if you have a replica kit.
I did the installation my self.

man . I am desperate . I had already painted my kaminari full body kit in the craftsman auto body shop in rockville on the east gude drrive . But what i want right now is to paint the fenders rear quaters and doors for both side of the car. Basically paint the whole car except trunk Hood and roof . And i asked several shops around rockville and they gave me price like around $ 3000 so it sounded me a lot because i also heard some shops are painting the whole car around $ 3500 but i dunno the quality of their job and the places also though frownsorry to mess up ur post again but i need a quick help , i feel so deppressed

I talked to one dude at White Flint mall (He is driving Blue Supra) His car looks so nice painting quality is perfect. He told me that some one paint his whole car couple of years ago and it was arond $3000. Some one at Gaithersburg ,but he forgat the name of the shop.
P.S.Yeah and i paint my car in that area too
some indian dude and his brother paint my car...I forgat name of the place but never will go there.

Sorry this post is old, but here is the picture of how I fixed the gap after I installed the Sparco Globe-X shift knob.(Common problem with Globe-X)
I just put 2 washers under the the shift boot , right on the top of the white plastic ring.
No gap! Looks nice!
1) TAKE THE SHIFT KNOB/SHIF BOOT OFF.

2) Put 2 - 2mm washers on the top of the white plastic ring.
P.S.You can get the washers from any home improvement store.

3) Put everything back. No gap!
P.S.After I installed Sparco Globe-X shift knob there was the 4-5mm gap between the shift boot and the shift knob.
Now I do not have that problem anymore. grin

Talking about sparco knobs...

They've got two that I think would dominate in the
celica 'cause of both the color and style of it..
