well im sure the noise is comming from there, and im thinking my drums/shoes in the rear breakes need to be replaced so has anyone done this, is it easy..or should I just take it in to pep boys or sommin...?

When i was in technical school 10 years ago...
I do not remember exactly how ,but i remember that it was not hard at all...

replaceing your shoes is way more complicated than replaceing brake pads... if your STRONGLY mechanically inclined and have at least 1.5 hours do to both then attempt it.
take a pic first so you can relatively see where everything goes.
I know how to do it and would rather pay someone to do it for me...
