just need something for the 2ZZ now...

why do people make stuff for the 1zz, and it's only got the same level of power as the 2zz frown

like TRD makes the GT supercharger which makes same or less power than the GTS...

Without the 8300 RPM sound. And drum brakes in the rear...

Seems pointless to me. They will build up a 1zz motor NA to have 190-200 HP...when a GTS can get that easier...

I'll never understand it. spineyes

i dunno why the 2zz was neglected..(especially cams...jeez), maybe the 1zz is easier to work with? i dunno. you're guess is as good as mine. but for the reason why anyone would want to make their car as fast or just as fast as a GTS is that it's just for the sake of tuning purposes. sure it's just as fast as a stock GTS but it's all about the work and love for tuning...i guess that's why they do it.

btw-doesn't Sf turbo make turbos for the GTS dyno'ing at 250+whp?? correct me if i'm wrong. confused

my guess is they don't get very many GTS 6spd to work on.

I've heard lots of stories that dealers had hard times getting the cars, and selling them.

its harder to make cams for the GTS than GT... b/c of LIFT, the cam's that toyota designed are damn near perfect.

The GTS is putting out 180 hp in a 1.8L engine. Thats a lot of performance for a little engine, stock. It will be harder to get more horses out of that engine than it will a GT.

The cams are priced at I think 850. Seems a little high...maybe the dynos will back up the price.

pistons look good, raising up the compression ratio to 11:1 that's near the GTS. i'd try it.

the reason no cams for the gts is because of valve clearance problems. The stock secondary lobes are so agressive that they push the valves in really far already. and That the valve train is on the the weakest parts of the 2zz. Just recently new springs and valves have been released so you can rev higher. Next you need cumtom pistons before cams. Then you can go with more lift on your cam. Monkey Wrench Racing is in the process of building a ported and polished head. with new valves spring and cams. I will be like a Gude head package. but dif company
