Hello everyone!
I just got these new race pedals from ebay. They are chrome with red neon lights on them but I dont know how to install the wires... I emailed the person I got them from and she told me to connect the wires to my daytime running lights but I dont know even know where to begin... I looked behind the existing pedals to try and figure it out but I couldn't... frown I would really appreciate any help from anyone. I including the link to the pedals so you guys can see what I am talking about... Oh yeah I have a 2000 Celica GT Auto.
Thanks again!

Well, you know there are a few options that you could persure. One being what the girl told you, you could connect them to your daytime running light, and they would be on whenever your car is on. Another choice, which i might reccommend over the first one, would be to connect it directly to the car battery and create a switch in the circuit which will turn them on/off whenever you want. The install is relatively simple. All you have to do is run the wires all the way to the battery and get a switch in there somwhere. thumbsup

Knowing the path and choosing the path are two different things.

Sorry kid i do not like them too.
But it's your call.
P.S.Connect it to your cig lighter wires.
Take the shift panel off (Where your gear shifter is)
Disconnect it from the dash board .Flip it over and you will see Green and Red wires. Connect your pedals to that wires and you will be good to go.
P.P.S. SOrry i do not have any pictures to show it...

If you are planning more interior lighting mods, ie. footwell neons, I would definitely consider running a +/- set of wires straight from the battery terminals through the firewall (just behind the battery) then down to the left next to your steering column. Then pull out one of the grey accessory blank plates that are down there, and cut out a hole for a switch. I did this and have 2 red toggles down there. Worked great for me. Just be sure to run a fuse somewhere along the positive and it should be all good. They look really nice at night. One thing though is that they narrow the space between the accellerator and the brake, which takes a bit of getting used to.

GRrrr I didn't want to here that people were having trouble with the pedals... hmmmm maybe its not such a good idea to even go through with the install... I do like them though... It doesn't sound like its hard to install so I will give it a shot and if I decide I dont like them I can always take them out. Where would I get the switch that everyone is talking about? Maybe discount auto or drivers seat????

imo, pedal/shift knob lights are a little too far...and im one of the people on here that actually like neon/led underglows. But whatever floats your boat. It's your car...if you like them then go on and put them on. Just imo, they make it look kind of cheap.

Dude, do what you want and what you like. Don't let anyone get to ya. If you already bought them then go for it. It's just not a lot of peoples' style on this site. Do what you want, don't let people tell ya what to do, it's your car. thumbsup
