Alright guys. I need to drop my GTS. I figure at some point in time, I want to do a VS1 or Blitz body kit(maybe a combo of the two), and 17 inch rims, possibly 18s. My question is, how much should I drop my Celica if I plan on doing this? Also, what are all the mods I want to purchase? ...If I want to have a finely tuned suspeion. My guess was obviously the Springs, Shocks and maybe camber links too? Any other ideas leave em here. Brands and good prices w/ links would be excellent. Thanks guys.
EDIT: And if I wanted to do everything as listed above all at once, plus install and parts, anyone got a ballpark figure on how much it would cost me?
I hope it would help. Clike here ! P.S.Very low prices on springs here. www.Modacar.com [modacar.com] P.P.S.I have KYB AGX Shocks $405 off E-Bay,and Eibach Sportline springs $185 from Modacar, Eibach alighment kit $26 (front)Not remember were i got it. Also you can get Hotchkins CamberLinks around $240... Strut bars Front H&R $110 E-Celica store, Rear TRD $140 check the web. SwayBars Eibach $380, Hotchkins $330...
Maybe adjust shcoks would be the best way. So if you do eventually kit teh kit and everything you can just adjust the height instead of buying all new springs.
do you have to do somethin to ur car when you get it lowered? i thought you could just get the springs and lower it and leave it..check the alignment or whatever, but thats all..or no?

you can just lower it...sometimes you need camber links though...
and all springs will eventually wear your shocks out...but that isn't until a while...
Drop your whole car a million inches! Ha ha, i'm kidding. The lower the better. 2inches 1.5 inches are both good numbers! I think you would like the 2" drop the most.
Knowing the path and choosing the path are two different things.
If you have the money go with the TRD coil over set from here [mrtoyotaparts.com] and this way you can experiment with the wide range of lowering capabilities... i recommend about a 1 to an 1 1/2, just my two cents...
Alright I think I might do a Kaminari kit now with WW sides, cause I don't like Kam sides too much (Evan's setup has inspired me ). So prolly a 1.5" drop will do the trick, yes? no?

a Hotchkis drop will look great if you have 18's or are getting 18's.

What would you get with a 40 series tire? That's what I have and I don't know if hotchkis would be too low with shocks, or if I should just get TRD springs with the struts? Will the struts lower it more? Or should I just go in between with the tein springs lol?
go with tein suspension. there one of the best with great quality.
If you want a finely tuned suspension go with Tein or Jic if the money allows especially with Jic and not their entry level coilover the one that costs like $1900. I believe Tein for the SS-P is around $1100 and the HA is $1400. Get some hotchkis anti-roll bars too or first and the camber links, both great. A front strut bar is necessary with these added parts, in my opinion. If you don't have someone that can really install and/or tune those coilovers to your needs don't bother. If just manly for looks and a drop/occasional hard driving get springs and shocks. An alignment is essential and needed after messing with your suspension either way. By the way, my car sits approximately 1/4 inch lower on 15" 205 55 compared to 17" 205 45 on a close to 2" drop. Also lowering your car will make the inside wheel spin more around turns with our open differential. Might want to be a good idea to invest in a LSD and that isn't cheap either.
