Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior How much oil does my 2001 Celica GT take?

Ok I just bought this car and want to change the engine oil/filter. I bought my 5 quarts of oil and the filter already. I don't have an owners manual to the car so I have no clue how much oil I should put in. My guess would be between 4-4.5 but im not sure. Some one help me out with this.

no the GTS takes about 4.5 the GT only needs about 3.9 i just put in 4 just in case. do not add too much just put in 4 quarts then run the engine for a while with all things reinstalled. then check the oil level.

make sure you check the seal on the filter too
