Wutsup I was wondering how much weight would the Celica lose if I were to take out both back seats, the spare tire, the padding that it comes with and the rack that is attached to the trunk? Not that I am going to do this but just sorta curious. Thanks to all responses in advance.

prob like 40 lbs. i know the spare is pretty heavy, well 40lbs is being realy generous though. if you really want some weight reduction you should remove the back seats, passenger seat, spare, tools, rear trunk plastics, hatchcover and all mats.

if you wanna go hard core you should also remove the radio, all the speakers plus wiring, totally take off the AC and all it's components, remove all carpeting, remove passenger side airbag, Carbon Fiber hood, and...well can't think of anything else.

Believe it or not the back seat backs are decently heavy. At least 10-15 lbs each i would guess. Get rid of those, the shelf and spare tire and the rear interior and 50 sounds about right. I recomend doing it if you plan to race for a weekend or something. Its quite easy... unless you have a TRD rear strut tower bar then its a bitch gettin the rear plastic side panels and tray on and off. But the seat backs come out super easy, 2 bolts each (either 10 or 12 mm socket, i forget) Only other problem about removing the interior is the driing noise gets much louder.
