I rev mine once in a while & haven't had any problems. Maybe he does it to pump gas in the engine 'cuz it's but ass cold grin Or maybe you're thinking too much & need to lie down before you hurt yourself happywink

my mom has an explorer and they are crappy trucks and my dad had to rev the engine cuase other wise it would stall cause it is crap so that is why he did it so it might be the same reason. other then that i think he wants to race ya

Don't put the gas down on your celica when you start it. Fuel injected engines don't need that. You'll flood it. Only older vehicles need the gas down all the way.

has nothing to do with the nation of assembly, it has to do with the choke on the old carbs on cars, you held the pedal down to engage the choke so it would start when cold. this was before the invention of the oxygen sensor, and the computer controlled air to fuel ratio

dont rev your engine high before it's warmed up because the oil hasnt had enough time to cover everything... it creates wear and friction.

that's for older cars, they're making sure the fuel line has fuel, easier for the next start up.
