Hey guys, there have been some posts on here about 'what do you want the 8th gen to be?' Well, these posts have centered around the performance aspect...everyone saying 'we want awd...factory turbo'. In this post, How about we tell what we would actually like it to look like? Or what features we want? My 8th Gen wishlist: ---Outside--- -Keep its low profile and stance -Stay with the style of headlights -HATCHBACK -Either have the tyc style back lights, or red outs. -Make the grill open, not a 'slit' like the '03+ -16" wheels stock, or optional 17" -Small Antennea (like s2000) ---Inside--- -Choice of color interior (black...gray...etc.) -Same kind of pedals as the current GTS -Bucket Sport Seats, your choice of Black, or Black/ [insert exterior color] -Same style console, or similar. Also have the space at the top to pot a tv screen Well guys and girls, this is what id like the 8th gen to have (looks wise). I'd like to see what others want.

I could be wrong, but i think i heard somwhere that the Corolla S type was supposted to take the place of the Celica. However if could design the 8Th gen: I would want It to be a two seater. Engine in the back All wheel drive 6 spd sequential GB Carbon fiber frame Standard gull-wing doors optional paddle shifters The exterior to be a lil wider circular shaped taillights
Ha ha, it's pretty much a Celica turned into a Ferrari/Lamborghini!
Knowing the path and choosing the path are two different things.

I would like for toyota to widen the stance of the celi a little bit, and instead of sloping the back, i would like to see a ferrari-like lip that curves up right at the back of the hatch. I would also like to see a classier interior (aluminum gauge bezel and accents maybe, like the 350z or audi tt) I would also like to see a factory dual exhaust, with the bumper styled around it (also maybe ferrari style). Oh yeah, and a factory turbo and awd (had to throw that in)

-less rattling. -much, much, much better quality paint. -no ugly body kit as a factory option. -more cooperation with TRD as far as aftermarket goes. -no auto on GTS version. -as far as looks go. i simply dont want them to take ideas from the scions and the prius. i hope they dont soften the curves too much.

Hey guys. Well I could be wrong, but I've heard rumors that the next generation of Celica will only be available in Japan. In the US though, Toyota's replacement will be the Scion TC, a new sporty coupe. But, I could be wrong. Just thought I'd put that out there. Here's a pic as well of what Japan has in store for the 05' Celica.

Yes, they are rumors, Toyota won't say a word up until 2 months from the release of the car, so all rumors to this point have some truth to them, but mostly false. Don't believe what the media says, they do it for hype. Your choice what to believe though. Its thought by some the Tc will replace the Celi, but who knows at this point. The concept photo was released about a year ago, but no one knows the source, could be Toyota (by accident) or not. I hope it does look something like that though. As that was your first post, welcome to the site. Search for 2005 Toyota Celica to see other concept photos that have been posted here.

you are absolutley right about the tc. it is the replacement for the celica and will ber sold under the scion bramd name. they said it was due to low car sales of the celica which is bull. the tc will have a 2.4liter vvti 160hp 140lbs aporx. dosent look bad but too bad there not making the celica

oh sorry it will be offered here in the states i dont know if they will end the celica in the rising sun but they will here too bad! you sir...are WRONG! Only reason it was said that they would stop is Motor Trend which has information that a lot of times is wrong. A few other magazines went over toyota's '05 products and mentioned an updated Toyota Celica among other products. It was rumored the Tc would take the celicas place but it will just be a stand alone car. VSGTS14 works for a dealership which his father owns...he said chances are there would be a celica...and i trust what he says over what a magazine that has been wrong before

More power, low-end torque, drop the damn thing, key-coded stock skirts, maybe more stock body kit options...basically, I love how mine looks right now. Just needs some more tweaking.

toyota is designing a new celica and is coming to US according to few magazine and internet articles. Motor Trend had said they werent bringing anymore celicas here in US bcz of its low sales. Later we found a list of toyotas future plans and future redesigns, and celica was in. I'm 90% sure they are remodeling, and i hope the new ones are as light as the current ones if not lighter(plz make it lighter) and faster. vvtl-i 4cyl. pushing 220whp!!! keep the size, length and weight the same plz. better in anyway, from handling to looks

I dont know how accurate this information is, but I went to the Toyota Dealership a few weeks ago, and the sales man there told me that they wont be coming to the US... and that the Scion will replace the Celica. I am pretty sure he wouldn't just pull it out of his ass, but he could be mis-informed... who knows! Anyway, if there will be an 8th generation celica coming to the US I would like it to stay the same with minor modsto the body but some serious work on the engine! The faster the better

The faster the better Salesmen at car dealerships know jack. When I test drove my Celica, the guy tried to tell me it has the same engine as the Lexus IS. When I told him the Lexus was a I6 he said "what? you mean a V6?"
