BAH! they said it was a 4-2-1 header; That's a 4-1 header in those pics. still looks like a decent header, but apparently DC sports doesn't know the difference between the two kinds of headers!

Actually I did some research on this and if you go to DC sports web site you will see that they also have a header due out very soon for the GTS. It says it is a 4-2-1 as well. There are pics of their other 4-2-1 headers on the site but I am not sure if the celica headers will look similar to the pics or not. Apparently the headers are also ceramic, whatever that means, and about $374 (not bad compared to Trial or TRD). Just thought I'd drop some knowledge on y'all. its 4-2-1 but the way they made it its really just 4-2 where the rest of the exhaust counts as the 1. look at the picture closely and you will see a piece of metal dividing the top and bottom outlet of the header which makes it a 4-2-1. there just isnt enough room in the celica to make a length of pipe that has two pipes.

Actually, I think it is a two piece header. The other piece isn't pictured. If you look at the link I posted above it says along side the part that it is a two piece header. The first piece that comes off the engine looks to be the 4 part and then it connects to another part that is the 2-1. Check the pics that they have on the DC sports site, I could very well be wrong. http://www.dcsports.com/4to2to12.html

from what I have been told the 4-1 headers are better for increased horsepower at higher RPM(i.e. TRD, Trial) and 4-2-1 gives a more noticeable power increase accross the whole power band.

The dyno is going to be VERY intresting. It will decide whether I buy headers or a suspension mod next.

no i think that you are wrong cause in order for that to be true the cat and resonator would have to be moved down which means dropping the entire exhaust system, cutting out the cat and resonator, shortening the entire length of pipe, then weilding it all back together. if you look under your car you will see what i am talking about.

Upon inspecting the images closer... Yes, I think you are right in this regard, still seems a bit odd, the transition from the 2-1 seems a bit short to make any noticable difference. Definitely better than the stock unit, tho.
