I have a choice between a passport (newest verson) for 75 or a "s2 solo" something for 95, what are the differences and what are the pros and cons vs each other, i know price is not that big of a diff

they are almost the same. the solo has a bit more features and it is cordless so you have to use batteries and ony last 2 months. i would just go for the passport and hardwire it.

I have the solo 2... It works great and the batteries last a long time... Plus if you get pulled over you just yank iy off the windsheild and it never existed... No wires...
