I HAVE BEEN LOOKING INTO SHORT SHIFT KITS FOR MY 2000 CELICA GTS. SO FAR, MY TOP 2 ARE THE TRD AND THE B&M. SOME SAY THE TRD IS A LITTLE TALLER BUT THE B&M HAS A TENDENCY TO MIS-SHIFT (AND IT DOESN'T HELP THAT I'M STILL OCCASIONALLY DROPPING INTO REVERSE WHEN I WANT TO GO INTO 1ST). ANY THOUGHTS OUR OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS?

I like TWM because it has the shortest height and it makes for the shortest throw...

THANKS FOR THE INPUT. IS IT EASY TO INSTALL AND IS THERE AN ISSUE OF MIS-SHIFTING? I JUST BOUGHT MY USED CELICA BARELY A WEEK AGO AND I ALREADY HAVE THE URGE TO START MODIFYING THE SMALL THINGS. ANY THOUGHTS ON THE BEST SUSPENSION? I WANT LOW PROFILE BUT I ALSO WANT ACTUAL HANDLING ABILITY. I WANT STICK WITH A LOT OF TRD AT FIRST DUE TO MY WARRANTY BUT I PLAN ON GOING ALL OUT ONCE IT ENDS. BLITZ SUPERCHARGER ANYBODY?

lolz im with you on da third gear. For other short shifters, i dont dink it has that curve bent look than other shifters which makes it easier to shift to third..since there's this since shift gate problems on 2002's i dink. for 2000-2001 and 2003 celicas..ask before you purchase a twm. good luck grin

I also have a TWM. I haven't tried out the TRD one so I can't compare to it. But my TWM shifter works well. It's a very quick shift because it is so short but occasionally I miss third. (That's on me though).

I really like my B&M. I've never compared it to a TWM. But, my installation was a little bit longer... That damn pushnut!! The thing is the B&M has the plastic doohickeys on it, and you have to take the plastic doohickeys off of the stock one and put it on the TWM.

Last time I checked, they didn't have one yet for the 03 celicas. Check their website or email them to be sure.

the distance in throw between my TRD shifter and stock is very minimal. A good choice for someone who wants a slight change, but nothing too drastic.
