well, for christmas i got a brand new set of motegi mr-7's in 17x7 size and a set of new nitto neo gen size 215/40zr17. i got them computer mounted and balanced at the local merchant's tire. ever since i put them on, my car seems to pull slightly to the right when i drive. it's not drastic, but i'm use to straight driving. to me it seems the camber has gotten worse in the rear (in the negatives). now i know the car stock had a degree or so of negative camber. the front wheels seem to almost lean out at the top, but not by much.

would getting an alignment help the situation? does the stock suspension offer enough play to correct the camber issues? also, i realize that some degree of negative camber is a good thing for our car like ours to improve handling. but what would good settings be for the front and rear?

I hope you didn't hit any curbs or cars before? The tires can slightly throw off the alignment, not the camber though. How many miles on your car by the way? Is it lowered? Or was lowered with the addition of new wheels and tires? If you have a scheduled tune up and your car is still under warranty take it to the dealer and have them check the suspension first before an alignment just to make sure there is nothing wrong with the struts or anything that will need you to get an alignment in the future. If every things OK, then try an alignment, might make a world of difference. Good luck on aggressive alignment specs, I've been asking for some time.

nope, no curbs hit. everything else about the suspension is right, the tires just lean awkwardly. i have nearly 40,000 miles on my 02. it has not been lowered yet. i'm sure where ever i take the car to get the alignment done, they'll set it up for the proper specs. i only go to reputable establishments, but i'll probably avoid the dealership in this instance. any idea what an alignment usually costs?
