how would i go about installing a set of lowering springs (Progress) by myself and without a spring compressor.. my friend lowered his lude in auto shop and he said i could do it by myself.. i was just wondering how safe it would be and if it is worth doing... thanx for your input thumbsup

You need spring compressor, jack stand, and powerful tools (such as braker, impact,,) to unfasten the rear bolt. In addition, the rear seats and many interior parts must be removed. I did it by my self, but felt not so easy...
It need some experimence, but will be much fun for DIY enthusiasit... Good luck for your DIYs.

hey you guys, im sticking some 18 inch rims on my car. How many inches i should lower the car? I dont want it too low, just low enough for a perfect and nice looking fit.

changing springs w/o a spring compressor is very dangerous. the spring is capable of shooting out and breaking through 2 feet of concrete.

unless you already know how to properly shoot out a spring, don't try it. have a shop do it for you for about 60-100 bux.

if you want to lower the car, and make it look aggressive but not too low, go w/ the hotchkis springs. it'll lower the car to the point there the fenders are just above the wheels.

hey thanx for your input eugic.. i juss wanna kno if there are any good shops that you kno of that can do it for me ... i live in the irvine area also (laguna hills)
