I saw some 6" at wal-mart, but the quality is thumbsdown, If you're not a fan of loud subs just replace your factory speakers with some other speakers like rockford, pioneer, power acoustik etc. and with that you shopuld be all set. But I think one 10" [500W] + amp will not hurt thumbsup

what do you mean by component part?
replace the stock speakers?
i think the 03 JBL is pretty nice...or that's because i havnt hear any good speakers yet?

u havent heard a good one. celica speakers (JBL) are a kind of diss. if you want subs go with standard or else jsut get good speakers. if i were you i would get good speakers and tweeter since you not into that much. another recommendation is that go into a car with a sub and see if you like it.

If you want a loud system without blowing your face off this is simple. Head down to Best Buy or Circuit City and grab these parts (or have them installed if thats what you eant to have done).

(1) 10" Alpine Type-E Subwoofer ($75)
(1) Low-Power Amp ($150 - $250)
(1) Kenwood or Pioneer Head Unit ($150 - $200)

My stock speaker setup sounds great with 2 subs, and it will sound fine if you want just one. Try this and if its not working, head back down to the place that installed all this stuff and ask them for a good speaker suggestion.

Edit: Forgot to add a Sub box. Do this custom if you have patience and wanna have some fun with it.

my setup is a kenwood receiver, two alpine typy-e 12's, and a 700 watt mono alpine amp. sounds great, but is loud. i hve had the 10's and they're loud too. i would go with rockford 8's or these [sounddomain.com] ...rockford 7's????

fosgate makes some good stuff that sounds sick in celica's. for sure go with fosgate. go with maybe just 2 12'' HE's and you will be set trust me. please dont buy a walmart amp or sub system that is just degrating to the celica.

I got a 75 dollar amp from BestBuy pushing 400 watts with a 400 watt fosgat 12" sub and a probox from my local car audio store.
Go to www.hookedontronics.com [hookedontronics.com] and you can find some real good prices there with this sub for like $56 bucks. check it out. and please trust me about the fosgate thing. my friends have kicker, jl w3, and others and mine is the loudest by far when turned up.

nope! but what you should do is get an amp and amp the speakers! you need to get a line out converter too if you keep the smae deck!

you gotta bypass your stock amp too, or you could fry your speakers.
