I'm get a celica in the future but can't decide what color I should get it in. I would like silver metalic , super white or carbon blue as the color of my car. If i get any of thouse colors black rims would look good on it so no worries on that. Also all the other colors on a cely i dont like.

absolute red - nice look, so do the cops like it. scratches show alot
solar yellow - same as red..
silver - best typical car. less dirty looking car. most common color
blue - gets dirty quick and 2nd most common in my area. i personally dislike it
white - great color, should take care of it well though, everything leaves a stain on the car. one of the best color
black - one of the best color, gets dirty quick as fuck. scratches flash.

if you thinkin about silver and blue, then get a gunmetal paint. search for gunmetal celica in the gallery

i think i like spec blue more than any other stock color for the celica.

silver and white are the more common colors, though and they look very nice.

one thing to think about with silver is that it is one of the hardest colors to match plus the celica's silver is metalic. That means rule out doing any paint work yourself. It was a problem for me when i had to pay to get may body kit painted when i couldnt get even metalic flake coverage without buying some more expensive equipment. I like black because in most cases it is one of the easier colors to match, along with white.

I have a white celica and its great. Color matches are no problem for painting. You have to keep it real clean but white really shows all the body details like the creases and curves. grin

I have white, when I bought it I thought that was the color that best shows the shape of the car, it really eccentrates its features.

I didn't get red coz I already have 8 tickets.

BUT white is the most reflective color for radar/laser
and black is the most absorbent.

meaning car is warmer under sun if its black. so the sun damages the black paint more than white right?

yes & no..its so minimal you can't notice it. white appears to fade less (because what can white fade to??), but it is wearing just the same as a black car.

auto paint is high heat..so unless your putting your car in temps over 1000 degrees, color won't matter.

I love my spec blue, I think its the best factory color but maybe in the future I will go gunmetal. Everyone thinks my spec blue is an aftermarket color and it looks awsome when the sun hits it.
