I just got quoted $496.13 for a clutch replacement on my car. That's just for the labor! Is this a fair price, or am I getting screwed? How much did all of you pay for clutch replacements? Help please!

Does anyone have any actual prices that they paid to have their clutch replaced? I'm getting the parts for 147, but i don't want to get bent over for the labor, what is reasonable!??

they did mine when i had my tranny update and new motor installed, they just charged me for parts. What costs 147? The Trd kit was like 310 for everything

No i think that sounds about right... acura charges $400+ for clutch replacements.
Did you take it to a dealership or an independant shop? dealerships rip ya...
Clutches arnt really that hard to change you could probably do it yourself and save the cash.

Clutches arnt really that hard to change you could probably do it yourself and save the cash. The 496.13 was an independant shop. The dealer wanted $800 fricking dollars just for labor, and they wouldn't install any clutches that I didn't buy from them, and they wanted to sell me an oem clutch for $450 or a trd for $600

Seriously though, i've already checked with my mechanic friends, and they don't have time, nor do they feel comfortable working on my clutch since it's so new
