while i do like the design MUCH better than the previous two scions...it's still a scion and until they can prove that they are actually worth something..i group them along with kia, hyundai and daewoo (didn't they go out of business?).
Daewoo did indeed go out of business. I think the moral of the story is not to offer 10 year warrantys to attract buyers if the cars only last four years
I can't believe you would compare the Scions to the economy cars like Kia. There are two MAJOR differences.
First, unlike Kia and Hyundai, the Scion brand is able to make use of Toyota know-how and manufacturing processes to produce a car of quality build. They might not be as attractive, well-equipt and powerful as Toyotas, but I'd bet the farm that they are going to prove just as reliable.
Second, the Scions don't seem to be cutting corners with the interrior to make the cars cheaper. If you've ever been in a xA or xB you know what I'm talking about. They have the interrior feel of a $20-25k car. Sitting in a Hyundai is like sitting in a room furnished at garage sales
You (and many others) may hate how they look... but they are indeed quality cars if you'd ever take the time to see one from the driver seat.
