you want #1 which is before the cat, #2 is after the Cat.

now gimme $10

BTW: looks like someone already had one connected b/c they had to jumper the wire back to stock...that should have been the first clue.

I have my a/f gauge connected to that and it seems to work fine

Ok...so I hooked it up to the number one wire...it keeps flucuating everytime I hit the gas. But when I hooked it up to the number two, it didnt do anything...What am I doing wrong????????? SHHHHIAAAT angry

why would you want the reading after the cat?

#2 is the correct wire ... you want the reading after the cat because of the signal the O2 sensor is sending.

I'm not going to get into it, but the sensor before the cat is giving a more erractic reading making it not good for the a/f gauge. There's a technical sheet on it but I really don't feel like getting it. Just take my word for it.

Why yours won't work when you put it to that one, I have know idea ?????

Maybe your gauge is defective. But it is SUPPOSED to fluctuate otherwise you would have a constant air/fuel ratio giving you an engine that was not very powerfull across the board and incredibly innefficient.
