I may plan to get a new set of rims come spring time. Does anyone know what size rims would probably be the best looking on a silver stock GT...preferable don't plan to get any body kits or lower the car.

thanks for the advice

With no drop or kit 17's would probably look the best.

What do you think about these rims on a silver GT?

Also assuming I go for a 17" rim, i will have to get 205/45/17 tires.

Anyone think that the 45 profile will be a bit too thin without a drop?

-ditto on 17s..w/out a drop or a kit this is your sweet spot.

-i prefer the mille miglia mm 11-3s over the moda's you also pictured. much more clean in my opinion

-45 is not too thin of a sidewall without a drop. look at it this way: your stock tires (assuming you have the 16" alloys) have a sidewall of 50...so you are still adding height (because your wheel is growing an inch) even if you minus the 5mm (something like that..i forget how tire sizes work...you can use this to find out exactly: eunos.com: tire calculator [eunos.com]..scroll to the bottom of the page) thumbsup

go with 17s and you don'dt have to drop it. I got some 18s and without a body kit or a drop, it looks like a suv

Thanks for the advice guys, I feel comfortable going with 17s since you guys are advising. I guess my question about the 45 profile was that I understand in all, I am gaining some inches on rim size by moving up to 17, but I was concerned that a 45 profile would 'look' too thin without a drop. I have 15 inch GT wheels and it seems like the wheels make a car, I'm getting tired of looking at them. I was thinking of just getting some used 16 GTS wheels, but why not go for it all and get 17...

Gun metal is very nice I agree...I'm just having trouble finding a nice one in pics.

What kind of style of rims do you like? 5-spoke, 6-spoke, multi-spoke, mesh? Also, how much are you looking to spend?

The G games are nice... those are 18s right? Thanks for the link...My preference is a 5 spoke. And since I won't be doing anything else, I doubt that I will be able to get away with the gun metal/polish lip look. I'm aiming for a 5 spoke and nothing more than 200 a rim. Should weight be a big concern?

If you're into performance it might since some rims can weigh about 20-30 lbs each.

These are nice too, they're only $800 or $850 w/tires. Prices are different because each package comes w/different size tires.

People have had different experiences with them. Some say they are really good and others have said that theirs bent, but maybe those people just had really thin tires because I've heard of even well known brands like Racing Harts or Axis rims being bent.

Do you have any pix of your car on your computer because if you do I can photoshop them on your car..or if your car is just stock, then I can find a pic of one in whatever color your car is.

Hey thanks for the help, my car is just plain stock in silver and unfortunately I dont have a pic on my comp.
I don't know if I should go with 17s anymore. The more that I think about it, without springs, it won't look good. I might go with used GTS wheels, what do you think?
