Hey everyone sorry for the dumbass question.

Yesterday I was filling up and noticed that I could see into my gas tank, on all of my other cars their is a silver "valve" that the gas nossle pushes out of the way in order to put gas in. I am missing this, I called the dealership and they said the 2000 celica GTS does not have one of these, could anyone with a GTS confirm this for me??? Thanks!

I was just trying to figure this out for myself... i could have sworn that I had one at one point in time, but I don't now. The other odd coincidence is that my gas gauge isn't working right. I'll fill my tank up completely, and the top notch on the gauge doesn't stay lit. I wonder if that valve might be hanging out in my tank and causing problems.

I didn't think there was a valve, but it sounds like one of your sensors may be shot. I don't know if the Celica has many sensors, or just one that floats with the gas and measures it that way, but either way it sounds like a sensor problem.

I'm still under that platinum warranty thing, and I think it still might be covered under that, but I'm not sure. I'm at work now but I'll be home soon and check it out for ya.
