Anybody know the 'to do' list for reducing weight in the celi? Beyond taking out the spare?

Well, no, not really. Back seat can go. Trying to find anything underneath the plastics that doesn't need to be there.

I know you can put carbon fiber hood and order carbon fiber doors. Just trying to think of all that I can take out that isn't reallly need.

Wow...

I really don't get the point of taking out some of those things. I wouldn't exactly wanna go racing with all my bowling balls riding in back, but I don't think I'd ever go beyond taking out the seats/mats/spare just for a night at the strip either.

Individually they make small weight changes, but altogether they can make the difference between winning and losing. Any advantage you can get (eg, carbon fiber hoods can save 30-40 pounds of weight). So carbon fiber everything from the hood, to the rear views, to the lug nuts, to the lights. Remove the spare, and put in run-flats, don't see the point in having fog lights...and so on.

Yeah you got me on the hood, I forgot to include that on the list of "to-do" reductions. I suppose it's just how the person chooses to balance daily driving with racing... same reason I'd never go with full racing seats in the car, yet some people do.

To each their own. thumbsup

i'm not quite sure how it would look like shit, unless your talking about removing the hood ,and it does say to replace with a carbon fiber or other light weight material
and on the more advanced weight reductions, you have to read "Some of the things listed below can also be removed or replaced with lighter alternatives than stock"
