Hey everyone, I've been thinking about getting either a CAI or SR for a while, am wondering about the install. I've heard that the CAI requires cutting the fender or some other body part and isn't very easy... how much easier would the SR install be?

I don't care if the gains are only 75% as much... I have an auto and am doing it more for show/sound anyway. Let me know what you think. I'm going with Injen either way, if that matters.

i'd go w/ the short ram 4 looks love the sound too...

in your case, you should definetly go for short ram. its as soon as cai for looks IMO, and has a crazy sound a little lighter than cai. you prevent hydrolocking and since you have auto, i would recommend you go more for looks, and short ram will do the job good and gives that nice sound

although this is for rmm, any shortram you buy will basically be the same.

personally, although the gains for the cai are slightly better than with shortram (because it allows more oxygen into the engine)..shortram is the better show mod becasue you can see all of the piping

go with the shortram. So much easier to install.

CAI isnt a very hard install, especially with the directions

shortram and cai power gains are virtually the same given that you leave the rest of the car stock. if you add an exhaust power gains will only be off by a couple of whp (not much--you won't feel it)

so if you plan to stop there, then shortram is the more common sense, in my opinion. it looks better, is easier to install, and the power gains are basically even when compared to cai.

however, the more you begin to mod your car with engine/exhaust mods..the bigger the difference grow between cai and shortram (although this still won't be a huge difference..but it may be noticeable)
