Personally I wouldn't pay anyone to do any of those installs. But as far as the pricing, seems to much to install an aem cai. I would tell them 400 total and they have themselves a deal thumbsup

I wouldn't pay for any of those either. They all seem a lil high to me...$400 is prolly what you can work em down to, but say $380 and they've got a deal, maybe you can get it.

I dont know it doesnt seem bad. But see if you can talk em down. Try offering to pay cash.

it costs just as much to install the aem pulley as it does to buy it. $140 not worth it for the mod. I'd do the intake, shifter myself. I did my struts and springs myself but it took 10hrs. So i might would pay to have that done. Never messed with hoods or hood pins so i can't vouch for that. I had my pulley put on when i had my belt tensioner replaced.

shifter...do it yourself. Not only does it only take about 40 minutes, you learn a lot about how it works. Im really dumb and got it easy. It takes minimal tools

WERD...don't mean to repeat things but you should really install some of those things on you own, like the intake, short shifter, and hood. For the hood you'll need 3 people but it's easy. the other mods do take some time though. so anyways just try to do the install either early in the morning of at night.

heh, they want the same amount to install the intake as the pulley, that's funny! the pulley is a bit more involved, the intake is an easy install, so why the hell are they asking that much?

You can do the intake, shifter, hood and pins yourself and save some cash. If you are a bit shakey on how to do it, get the shop to do the install.

When installing the hood, use a grease pencil to draw alignment marks on the hood supports before removing the stock hood, then, remove it, and install the Carbon Fiber hood, lining it up with the marks from the stock hood. the hood is done perfectly that way.

double check your locations for your pins before drilling, then drill your holes, mount the pins. check the location of the pins under the new hood, mark them, and drill, finish mounting all the hood pin hardware. Boom, that job is done.

pulley is a bitch, you need to remove the alternator, put it in a bench vise. use a pulley removal tool to pull the stock pulley, install the new one on the alternator, and reinstall the alternator with the new belt that comes with the kit. not hard, just time consuming.

Short throw shifter is an easy install too, once again, it's time consuming because you have to remove a bunch of stuff to get at the shifter assembly. once exposed, the shifter is basically a simple swap.

I would get the shop to install the suspension bits, you will probably need an alignment afterwards. since you are replacing both struts and springs in one shot, you will not need to decompress and remove the old springs from the factory struts. it would be a simple swap, but the extra work involved in aligning everything, adjusting camber/caster, etc, I'd say have the shop do it.

so...

aem cold air intake - do it yourself
aem tru power pulley kit - DIY again
vis oem carbon fiber hood - DIY
sparco hood pins - DIY
eibach sportline springs with kyb agx adj shocks/struts set - 120
twm short throw shifter - DIY

total cost = $120+ (depending on suspension alignment costs)

MY two cents...

you do need to decompress the old springs, cause there is parts on the strut that need to be reused, the strut boots and the upper part that mounts to the car.

The springs seem like a reasonable quote. The rest I would probably do myself, as everyone else already said laughsilly
