If i'm not mistaking there is two tipes of CAI's Low Rpm and High Rpm.Since you have automatic you should get a Low rpm intake...But i forgat withch one...I think AEM is low rpm.
P.S.But if i'll be you i would even instal any...It's not really gonna make any difference in performance of AUTO...I'm sure that Manual Gt w/o CAI will smoke you up anyway...But it's your call your money.
P.S.Instead of buying some pointless mode for your car just upgrade your suspention...Lower it or make some improvements in the cabin...

Go with AEM. I heard it gives little more Hp than injen but i think injen looks better

think of it like this, why do you want an intake, is it because you want to be faster if you race? if it is then get injen, becase when your racing your always at high RPm's where the injen is better

was....5speed with i/h/e
15.41 @ 89.30mph 2.282 60'

is....04 srt4 stock
13.936 100.15mph 2.177 60'

Yeah, but in order to get to those high RPM's, you have to pass through the whole powerband, unless you can land in or near lift. But he has an AUTO, so he will have to go through almost the whole powerband each gear he shifts into, so AEM might be better for him.

I also like AEM because you don't have to cut any tubing like you do with Injen, and everything fits very snugly.

Not really the same. Injen requires a little bit of cutting for install, and depending on how well you can install it, it might look a little rough around the edges. I like AEM cause it provides gains throughout the powerband which an Auto will surely need, but I could see how a six speed would prefer the Injen. Here's a dyno of three popular intakes compared to eachother. Please keep in mind that dynos have a margin of error equal to a few horsepower, so Injen may not have quite as large as a gain as it says it does.

GTS = AEM
GT = Injen

Automatic GTS..definately AEM. the GTS manuals even have a deficiency or low end power; which is exactly what AEM gives. Injen would benefit the GT more because it already produces a lot of power down low, so the only thing a GT would need really is high end; which is what the Injen gives.

overall, get an AEM because you will loose some power down low with the injen. injen is good for racing for high RPMs, but for daily driving when you are in the low RPMs, you will notice your car to be a bit sluggish.

he has a 'manualmatic' so he can put it into manual mode. although still nothing like a true manual, when you are racing he would most likely put it into 'manual mode' and therefore be able to upshift at will. hopefully this upshift will put him around lift...i still say injen.
