Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior BRS Carbon Fiber Hood

Hi all does anyone know or have they heard anything if BRS will start making the invader Carbon Fiber hood and hood scoop. I really want one bad but with money and all at the time couldn't get one. Thanks in advance.

the only one that makes Invader Hood is VIS, im not sure about BRS though

I think he's confused about VIS and BRS. BRS makes the hood that isaac has:

BRS makes the hood posted above, but was only in production for 6 months

VIS makes the Invader type hood.

Is the raised section in front a vent? If not, why is it raised? If so, why does it still have the stock vent? Seems silly to have two vents.

there are two vents to this car..and they both work for a good purpose. the raised hoodscoop acts just like your stock hoodscoop..it forces air into the engine compartment to get air circulating. the 'invader vent' (closest to the bumper) acts as a vacuum and sucks air out of the hood area. this improves circulation even more. because of the constant forcing of air and then removal of air (this is simulataneous), the engine compartment is kept cooler than it would if these scoops were not in place.
