Celica - "All show and no go" (site & pics)

Track Ready Demon
Toyota Celica TRD Sports M

"All show and no go" is the infamous description of Toyota's not so new Celica. Launched two years ago, the admittedly sexy and space-age shape continues to wow crowds and draws attention like honey draws bees.

Looks matter. But to the enthusiasts, looks are just one factor in their long lists of requirements. Performance often reigns over design, and butt-ugly cars like the WRX sell like BreadTalk's Pork Floss Buns. Toyota knows that, and their efforts to make the Celica a worthy opponent against the likes of the Integra Type R finally look promising.

other than the engine, its a lot closer to what all of us have done or are doing to the celica. Interesting to say the least.

But still think a supercharger that fits is the way for TRD to push it over the top, one can dream.

why not? GT lovers need to dream too thumbsup

by the way that thing is more than just an upgraded GTS...it's lighter, has a stiffer/better suspension, and i think stock it comes with an lsd (not sure though). of course the 20+hp increase is not bad either. thumbsup parts for the sport M are quite expensive i tried to get a hold of a sport m hoodscoop and they quoted me 400...ouch.i can only imagine what it would cost to upgrade a GTS to full TRD sport M.

More of a GTS than GT, but yes just about everything TRD makes for the celica is on the M.

Do you have a sports M VIN #, because if you don't they won't sell you the parts thumbsdown

Without a doubt, the Celica is a babe magnet. Many girls tried not to stare, but like they say, resistance is futile.

Advice: If you look like Quasimodo, this is the car for you.
