im trying to figure out how to pull up the driver's side carpet without breaking anything to get to this rubber grommet. any help would be great.

you have to first pull out the little screw like plastic rivet thing at the front of the footwell. Then the carpet is just like tucked in under the plastic basically. I'm wiring undercars mayber tomorrow if there is no more snow! so if you don't need it right now I'll post pics for yah tomorrow or def. wednsday for you.

alright i went outside and i got the plastic off and the carpet started coming up but i stoped because i felt like it was glued to the floor. like that rubber thing on the carpet under the floormats, feels like its glued down. did you have to rip the carpet up?

what about routing the wires up through the firewall? would that interfere with any moving parts? i aleady have run the wires through there to my footwell neons.

running em through the firewall shouldn't interfere with any moving parts. But still dont let em be too slack. THe carpet has some thin adhesive in some places, so you do have to pull a little, some places might also have plastic rivets, not sure, either way it'll lay straight again if you're carefull when pulling it up/laying it down.

if you pull the carpet up to much you can just go buy a can of 3m adhesive sprat for like 4 bucks
