Any pitfalls in removing the entire dash? Stuff to be carefull of, lookin for a heads up before I attempt cause of my recent luck. Also anyone know a safe way of gettin the shift plastic off? Basically i need to take off the autoshifter, can't seem to figure out how to remove the O/D button..grrr

I had the same (?) before...But seems like no one know for sure how to take the whole dash off. There is the couple of pictures in the installation page but it's not clear and you can not tell how to take the dash off. I have manual tran. So to take the shift plastic off i have to take the shift knob off and then just pull the plastic up.Dont know about Auto...

i've taken an auto off before Just becarful becaus there is awire that run up through there. just unsnap it carefully once you get it apart. there is a screw i do believe on the left hand side of the handle remove it.

Yeah I get there but the wires run down the shifter so I can't get the fuckin thing off. It's all good ordered a new button from toyota I'll cut the fuckin wires or something...now getting them back up there..ahh the interior adventure continues

I want to take off the WHOLE dash, the center piece is nothing I take that off all the time. As for the shift plastic I am gunna have to take of the automatic shifter. That's the other thing I want to know how to do.

uh still looks maunal to me sorry about that! here is the link for the automatic shifter removal: http://strictlycelica.com/ for some reason they don't have a direct link to the page. when you view this page, there should be a menu bar at the top click on the "installs" link and then you should see a "shifter removal" site. click on this: this is an install for the automatic shifter removal..so obviously you won't need all of this info, but it begins with removing the plastics
