Dressing up the engine compartment, any ideas. I'd like to show my car by summer and I'm debating whether or not to paint engine plastics and change hoses etc. What have you all done?
I did not do anything...yet. You have GTS it's easyer for you to dreess up your engine. They do sell Engine Dress up kits for GTS. And it's looks better than painting.
where at? you got a link or perhaps pics of what It might look like? I saw a kit at some auto store and it looked cheap and shitty. That I don't want. I already took off that huge piece of plastic that keeps car newbies from spilling washfluid all over the engine.
the main thing is just to make sure your car flows well. since your car is silver, i would recommend painting your plastics either silver or red (green and orange would be too ricy in my opinion, for example).
here is a silver/silver combination. and although the car is a gt, you get the picture.
I have the Injen pieces...RMM Strut, but I am going to buy the APR strut in a few months. I want to get Carbon Fiber pieces, but IPT decked those prices way up and it's too much, so I will get everything painted red and I am going to get a red hose kit.
^^worth noting that although very nice and clean, this is NOT cheap. for the gts (valve cover is different from gt), the 5-piece kit runs about $1,140. (the gt will be slightly less because as already noted the valve cover is different..and a little bit more simple).
