I just bought a set of tenzo mean6 wheels with 215/35/18 tires, and was wondering how low should I lower the car. I was looking for the fender wall to sit some where close to the top of the tire. Thanks for any info.

i wouldn't drop 18s much more than 1", after that, you can "drop" it more with a kit if you like.

Hotchkis or anything above that drop will be good.

18's and close to a 2" drop no problem for looks and ride on flat surfaces. But be carefull! I know there are many here w/the same and they don't tell U about a stiffer ride and the curbs and the potholes. U have to be cautious. Just to put it into perspective, I use to have 17's on 45's and changing back to 15's and 55's what a difference in comfort. I love the 17's and low profile for performance and will be going back. I don't mind a stiffer ride or the potholes (I just slow WAY DOWN), but some people are not aware of this. Then again I do live in Jersey and all the roads are S**T.

Exactly... You do have to be careful because if you are 1.5 to 2 inches lower you will scratch your body kit on curbs and coke cans... Yes coke cans... My ride is a little stiffer but really not bad at all. The Celica has such a good suspension that it is still great when modified...
