Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior Trunk Plastics

I've been searching since yesterday and cannot find out how to take off my plastics in the trunk.

Well what I mean is the piece that lifts up with the rear hatch. There is only one screw that I can see so does that mean the rest of it just pops off????????????????????

Can someone help with a link or pic's? I don't want to hurt my baby.

Take out that screw, and just pull down. Start at an edge and work your way around, its just a few plastic clips holding on. Very easy to do.

I think it should be in the install section, No?

You take out the grocery bag hooks, along with the metal anchors on the bottom inside from the license plate(back of the car).

Take the plastic piece inside and behind the license plate first, the sides will follow, be sure to unhook the wire connecting to the light on the passenger side.

And I should be able to get to the screws to the trunk latch from there right?

Yeah luckily I have access to an entire auto shop. Amost any tool that I could think off.
