if one of your gears is messed up, most dealers/shops don't have a transmission speciality to service it, they will just replace it.

how many miles you got? The synchros ARE covered by power train warranty.

I'm taking in for tranny service again tomorrow... I took it in yesterday cause of 4th gear grinding.. but they said not enough levelage cause of the short shifter... before I've installed the short shifter it was grinding..
Not I have to put the stock one back on and take it in again tomorrow...
Oh well... make sure to put the stock shifter back on when you take it in for tranny service...
I know for sure short shifter doesn't cause any problem but you know how dealer try to make any excuses not to fix it...
Make it easier for your self and save you self a time and trip back and forth...
