rev happy transmission
yeah, i know this have nothing to do with mods, but i figure...anyway, bought the celica gts 6speed 3 weeks ago and something weired happened yesterday. approaching a traffic light, i push down the clutch all the way and hold the brakes while shift to netural. my engine started to rev on its own? any idea for that reason??? thanx...

it's normal, a lot of people have been commenting on this. A Toyota technician told me that it is the ECU adjusting itself.

is that something happen a lot? cause yesterday was the first time it did it on it's on...wow, a lot of "it."

^^when my engine is cold, my tach will read anywhere from 1k to 1.5k, when my engine i warm i get the typical .75k

same thing happened to me, but turns out it was my fault. occassionally i put my foot partially over the brake pedal and since my Sketchers are so wide it presses down on the gas at the same time. rolleyes

yeah, but this thing revs up and goes down, revs up and down again, and again, and again, etc...it was something like 15k - 25k rpm...strange...
