HCI issue Celica
just got the new HCI and they had a feature 3S-GTE powered celica in it. its a silver celica with a full vs kit and rolling on 19"s. best thing is that they went into pretty good detail on how exactly the swap was done and the modifications it took. probably one of the best celica articles i have read thumbsup thumbsup

a kid told me that celicas handle like crap... i laughed

Do you need to upgrade your tranny for all that power plus a new engine or can you use the same tranny?

To deny the simple pleasures in life is to desire death in the most horrifing way.

I read it but I like the way Hotchkis is going with their Celica much better. For me they have the right idea extracting the most from the original. Just a question, does anybody know off hand how much the 3S-GTE weighs over the GTS engine or is it around the same?

I thought the hotchkis article in the super street was pretty good. And i just bought the HCI tonight, and i am getting ready to read that article.

they are using a MR2 tranny with the engine . since the engine is cast iron and not aluminum like the stock GTS engine it probably weights maybe 50-70lbs more.
