i think it would just cause air resitance and slow you down
i am going to try to make functional side vents for brake coolers someday.
do you you think it would be worth air resistance, if i'm trying to race
well as long as the vents have an exit (i.e. they exit by the brakes), resistance should be minimal. it's when air is allowed to build up and "fill" the vent that resistance plays a role.
in any case, the vents are so small that resistance is almost a non-factor even if they do not have an exit. unless you are extremely
worried about performance, you'll be just fine.
