So I was driving down a road today when I see there's a big accident up ahead at the intersection. Everyone was getting into my lane and this guy wants to get in infront of me. Okay, I let him in but the guy behind him bags ahead everyone and cuts infront of someone. While I was witnessing this, I realize the car infront of me step on his brakes pretty hard. Well...with little time to react, I stomp on my brakes too. Too bad...I rear ended him. Luckily, because of the accident up ahead at the intersection, I wasn't going very fast maybe 5-10 MPH or 10-15KPH. The turn-out wasn't bad at all, just little scratches on my front bumper and on his rear bumper. Nothing a good hard polish and buffing won't take out. He gets my license plate and name and I even threw in my phone number and told him if anything needs to be repaired, call me, don't go through insurance. The guy chuckles and says, "Yea, other wise our insurance will sky rocket!" So I chuckle back, say good bye, and we're off again in less than 5 minutes after the accident.

I guess I should be thankful that this wasn't any worse, but nevertheless, I'm still frustrated about it. Well, I guess the body kit will have to wait until I find out what's going on with this. Just a minor rant, thanks for reading!

Yea, I swear if I had 4 disc brakes I would have stopped in time but no, I had to have drums in the rear. My brake pads are fine, it's a 2003 Celica afterall, not even a year old yet...o well

its all good. imagine someone hit you from the back hard. atleast this one wasnt a big shock/surprise as you were going slow. ive seen so many bad accidents.
1. civc 97 crashed and totalled
2. camry 98 hit by a cop.
3. my friends 03 accord coupe hitting/flipping all over the freeway infront of my eyes, it looked like a frickin stunt. thank god he and the passenger survived. no seatbelts, and driver airbag didnt open! no injuries, you had to see the car. btw it was 3 days old

53ST and John Laurie man, that intersection there has been a death trap ever since those teenagers died there. 3 accidents on that intersection just yesterday, 1 serious, 1 was me, and another one like mine.

no. brake pads are not covered under warranty because they performed just the way they were made to. (they naturally wear out)

That intersection is a f'n gong show...just like most roads in the city. People blaze by me on the road everyday but I just drive the limit and pump the phat beats in my ride, i don't ever rush, cause like you saw, the slower you're going when you hit someone, the less damage it causes. Poor Celica though! You're baby has had it pretty rough.

Well, I'm sure the pads are fine, if I want to change the pads I would rather change the entire set up to a bigger disk etc. For now, it's good thumbsup
