yeah yeah...more rumors

w/out saying anything is written in stone. it seems to me TRD would not be producing a new action package for the celica in '04 if toyota was not planning discontinuing the celica.

speculation i know, and maybe this is just to make the last model more of a collectos item.

just an opinion...but i don't see why they would do that if they weren't planning on continuing the celica.

i would be happy if they stop making it for 4 years and then come back. they better come back though. so my celica will be a valuable and a rare car just like the supra. it would be more enjoyable. im mean huh?

I also thought the new body kit was wierd. Why totally re-design a kit if the car is going to be discontinued? I also wondered this, NOTE: Assuming they will discontinue it...and not stating they are, Why would a leading automotive coorp. totally stop selling a 'sporty car'? If they get rid of the celica and MR2, what would be left? It doesnt make sense to get rid of a whole class of cars. Nissan has 350z, subaru has wrx, mitsu has eclipse, lancer evo, etc. Well, that's my 2 cents. And remember, I am not on any bandwagon of 'they are stopping/they arent' im just expressing myself on IF they do. thumbsup

toyota hasnt announced this. their stance has been "no comment" which is its usual stance for anything toyota related.

The article doesn't say DISCONTINUED... it says, "replaced, sort of"

And we already know that TRD has a new kit (and many other performance and aerodynamic things) up their sleeves - some pictures were posted for about 30 minutes last week - but were taken down as not to violate a privacy disclosure statement thumbsup

yeah, i seen it, sort of (the celi was way off in the background). which was the reason for this post...just don't know why they would be doing all of that if they planned on discontinuing it (or replacing it). who knows, just my 2 cents.
