Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior anyone have this problem...

anyone have this problem...i have had my Injen CAI on for about a week or so...my CEL keeps coming on...i have done the battery thing to reset the ECU and check and rechecked all hoses...i do have a problem in it idleing low...it seems to bounce back and forth between 500 and 800 rpm...the sound is nice and performance is great but when i am just sitting there it is annoying...will it clear up after i get the TRD exhaust on...maybe this will even up the back pressure...just a thought...let me know any suggestions...j

When I first installed my AEM CAI the check engine light came on, and the next day when I drove it, it was off. I love the AEM power gains, and the sound is awesome. Just wait till you get the exhaust on with the CAI, so much better sounding. You're gonna absolutely love it. Nice deep roar, very mean sounding!!

hey doc.. did you have to do any cutting or anything jurrastic to install your AEM.. i realli like the injen.. but the installation is kinda risky.. ty for your input

Only if you lived close. I just got me a scantool hardware for my laptop. I could hook it up to the obd2 connector and find out what the CEL is for.I haven't played around with it too much yet, but one of the many features I can detect while driving is the air flow rate! Here is where fine tuning comes in.
