I was thinking about getting GTech competition for my celica before I do all the mod. I need some feedback on this item. Do they worth the money? Accurate? Do what it say it does? If you have them tell about it. I would like to hear from you guys first before I go out and buy one. Thanks!! wave wave [Linked Image from gtechpro.com]

I've heard that they are pretty accurate but not 100% accurate. It is pretty hard to be 100% accurate when all that product does is plug into your cig lighter to get all of its readings. You have to put in a little info like vehicle weight and wheel size if i'm correct. There are a few members on our board with this, maybe they'll be able to shed some light on this subject.

I would definately buy it to see the before and after effects of your aftermarket products.

dont use it..its not accurate. i've seen some ridiculous readings from the gtech..so i wouldn't get it. if you want to know how fast your car goes, take it to the track.

The apexi rev/speed meter is a better choice.

but make sure you get the optional G-sensor too, with that it will do every thing and more than the G-tech

I was looking into that apexi rev/speed monitor too. but don't know which whould be better off. I just didn't like the fact that I have to get additional G-sensor on rev/speed monitor. Thanks for all the feedback. I would really like to hear from people who actually has one of the two. That would really help me out on making choices. Thanks.

i havn't had either but my cousin has the g-tech, and although it's easy than the original it takes time to figure out, it was off by about 4-6 hp 4 out of 5 runs, and 16 hp on 1 run, according to his dyno results from earlyer that day

and although i have never seen the Apex-i in person many owners have said they come within 1-2 hp on average, and although it is more expensive and harder to install, it can do a lot more as i'm told

you should do some searching on google and compare there functions
