Ok the guy who put on my kit messed it up so bad (look at the pics in my profile of the kit). He told me he had done other people's body kits before and he did me good in a bump up a year ago so I was ok with it. Well, I got an intake for Christmas and was pulling the bumper off to install it but I cant get it off b/c I think he rivoted the bumper to the frame. He's done more than that too, he didn't put braces on the kit for support instead he zip ties it. The paint is chipping off fast and the kit is cracking really bad (thinking not from good bracing). This is my first car and I love it to death but with all this is makes me not want to have the car anymore. I didn't pass inspecation this month b/c he put the kit on and then painted it on my car. When he did this he painted the sidemarkers and the blinker wont light up so he screwed me over again.

What should I do? I want to talk to him to fix it but I dont want him to screw up my car anymore. Should I take him to court? Will it stand in Court? I really need some info here... puke puke puke

sorry to here that, that must really suck
i'd just go raise cain and get him to fix it (and then tell everyone you know never do buisness w/him)

i'm not sure if court would be the best though, depends on how much the kit cost, and how much damage, cost wisw, it actually did.

Have him take it off for free, and refund your money so you can get it put on by someone else who knows what they are doing.

what he said. the guy might not be good at installing bodykits, and trust me, if he made mistakes several times, hell do it again. goto another good body shop, get an estimate of what you want that the other guy ruined. goto the guy who fucked you up, and show the estimate and ask him for the price. if he offers you to fix it for free, dont accept it unless hell do something extra for free. if he disagrees, hit the court. im pretty sure he wouldnt wanna get into that big of a mess. if he goes, and probably loses, hell get a huge penalty! a penalty is to shut down the shop for a week, maybe longer. if he doesnt, then they will close the place. penalty stays in the record for 3-6 years. and when the shop is penaltied and a week shut down, the state puts a note infront of the shop saying they broke a law. embarassing! so mainly if he doesnt accept ur offer, threaten him by suing him!

The same thing happened to me...I took this bastard to court( not the same guy as he's talkng about) I had pics...estimates saying it was improperly installed and everything. The guy didnt have shit. He said " Well I did my best." And we still fucking lost. I lost all faith in the justice system!!! Just kick his ass!! lol. No, for real. Id demand my money back. Or make him fix it. Stand outside of his shop with a sign telling people not to go there. After a few days of that Im sure hell work with ya! thumbsup
