Given that I have all the equipment to do a spring change, like having EVERYTHING that I need to change my springs. Anybody have a bitch of a time pulling the shocks out of its place? I can't move the shocks and springs out, the disks right at the top aren't letting me pull it through out of the body. What do I need to loosen to give way?

That's the hard part? I thought that was the easy part for the rear. Whose your Daddy?

you took off the 3 nuts per shock and they arent coming out? ... tap them lightly with a rubber mallet to dislodge, and if its a clearance problem, make sure the swaybar link is off and push down hard on the brakes to allow room to slide out the assembly...

I'm sorry I was just having fun. I'm not sure but I always thought that the bottoms were tough in the back. If you got those unbolted why not the top? Did U look at the install section here? Might help even though it may be different than what U are doing. Not a mechanic here, but I can disassemble the top no problem. I look at it once a week to play with adjustments. Should be simple.

there is a small lip on top of the shock tower and it get cought on the body. all you need to do is grab it with 2 hands and move it back / forth, side to side and it will fall. Thats if you have the top three bolts off, your not moving anything if you dont take tose out thumbsup

Yeah, I took off the three bolts in the rear cabin of the car, I took off the part that connects to the top of the brake unit (i.e. the top of the rotor), I just can't pull the whole shock top w/o having the top disks caught on the body of the car. As I pull the shock down further, the top of the shock moves outward and the disks catch the body. where's the read on this in the tech info?

you need someone to help you, have them puch the sway bar way way down too the point where it feels like its going ot bend, then put the end of the shock in the gap where he is pushing down, once its in there you will then have enough space to pull the top out towards you... thumbsup

It's all good, It's all done, woohoo. I was pulling the wrong direction. I kept pulling the shock down and inward towards the center of the car. The opposite way came right out.
