One last question...

For the LED's, is it one size fits all? What I mean is, can the same LED's be used for the gas/temp gauge as the AC console?

Thanks in advance. thumbsup

Clock? No, I don't think so. The clock has an LCD display and is a little more advanced than the ac console. Don't know if anyone has changed the color of the clock yet, but who knows.

I should post an install. I've turned my A/C console blue using LEDs. It's very simple. Buy 3mm LEDs in whatever color you want. Desolder the old LEDs that are behind the A/C and defroster buttons, then put yours in and solder them. I am selling BLUE and RED 3mm LEDs if anyone is interested. email me: stetsonjoe@yahoo.com

Anyone know a good site I can visit to learn how to solder? I don't think it's rocket science, I just wanna know the basics so I can practice on stuff, and then work my way up to changing the led lights.

If you have like broken toy or any electronic that is useless.. take it apart... goto radioshack and buy a soldering iron. it's only 10 bucks... and some solders...

I did already not bad (Color is neon blue) (Leds are very bright)but not that bright like original AC lights after you put the cover back on. I'm going to buy one more tube to make it brighter.
P.S.I'll post some pictures after the second tube install. wave

Is your console dimmer than the one in the picture at night?

Also, you think I could have enough room to mount this in the middle of the console, and if I did, would the light spread evenly across the console? Here's the link to the item... http://store.dragracing.com/product.asp?prodid=1299&catid=120

With one tube it's dimmer but with 2 tubes i think it will be the same .(But color the same)
And ..No there is not enoughf room to install THAT... Sorry.
Just install 2 tubes,or just hold till monday i'll install the second tube and let you know if it's good or not.
wave
P.S. Sigaret Lighter will not change the color after the installation...You have to change the sig lighter LED...
If you buy the extra tube you can take one led out and replace the siglighter led.

after you change the color of the center console, is it possible to change the color of the clock from green to blue? and could someone go over one more time how to install the 6" flexible mini tube in the center console.
