i know i should really get the standard bolt on trd, fireball, kazuma, or one of the other ones out there, i wanted to do something different and see what happened, so i had a pipe made to fit from the stock bolt on, and wound around to end at an aftermarket muffler, it sounds pretty nice and it gives a noticable power increase, but i was just wondering if it would be worth gettin something like a trd exhaust or whatnot

Are you saying you had someone cut your pipe from the cat to the TRD muffler you put on, instead of buying the cat-back system? Does TRD sale the muffler only. I know they have a cat back system.?.

no, i cut out the stock muffler and had a pipe made to fit and put on an aftermarket muffler

CptHowdy56, i had a shop take off my muffler and resonator and custom bend a pipe w/ a muffler to bolt on. my car is super loud and i don't remember if i felt any hp gain or not, prob just a little bit. the way i see things is, don't cheap out on ur car, if you wanna do it, do it right the first way. i'm gonna be switching to the trd exhaust perhaps because it gives the most bang for the buck. good luck w/ ur decisions.
